Cassandra Guan, Future Perfect
March 5 - April 19, 2015
Reception, March 19, 9-10PM

Future perfect is a grammatical construction that announces an event of some future time. In a multimedia installation at the Abrons Arts Center, artist and filmmaker Cassandra Guan evokes the semantic ambiguity of this phrase to characterize the distinctly utopian mode of cognition in feminist politics and media.

Reception: March 19, 9-10PM

"Learning to Speaking in a Future Tense" is a workshop and group critique about several artworks-in-progress that engages in utopian feminist themes, including Cassandra's new film. March 19, 7 PM.

* "Future Perfect" is presented as part of the Abrons Arts Center's year-long collaboration with PARMER.
